Endless issue IV

For this issue of Endless, we turn to obsession. Obsession is rarely straightforward. It can be unsettling, even consuming, but it’s also the thing that keeps us coming back to what we can’t quite let go of. Sometimes it’s a single object or idea. Sometimes it’s harder to name than that. It might be the search for a sound, or the way light moves through a lens you trust more than any other.
 
The slow discipline of repeating something until it takes on a life of its own. Obsession lives in the detail that suddenly outweighs the whole, and in the larger vision that refuses to leave. At Endless, we experience obsession as both fuel and friction. It is what makes us linger and trace the same line until it shifts. It shapes not only what we make, but who we become in the process of making it. Obsession is Endless.
