In this second installment of our limited edition artist series, we present the work of legendary New York artist Chris “DAZE” Ellis.

DAZE is known for his colorful artworks, amazing public art projects, and is one of the early pioneers of the New York graffiti and hip hop movement. This new beautiful publication offers a unique look into his earliest works on trains, walls, and canvases, combined with brand new artworks, graffiti pieces, humorous sketches, and street photography.

LE PETIT VOYEUR X CHRIS DAZE ELLIS is offset printed in Denmark in a limited edition of 300 copies and will be signed by DAZE at the launch event in Copenhagen.

Chris “DAZE” Ellis was born in 1962 in New York City where he still lives and work.

He began his prolific career painting New York City subway cars in 1976 while attending The High School of Art and Design. He remains one of the few artists of his generation to make the successful transition from the subways to the studio. Since then he has exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions worldwide and has been featured in magazines, books, and iconic films as Style Wars and Wild Style.

DAZE’s paintings have found themselves in many private collections including Eric Clapton, Natalie Imbruglia and Madonna. His work has been exhibited alongside contemporaries like Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring and can also be found in the permanent collections of The Whitney Museum, NY, Museum of Modern Art, NY, and many more.
