Glamour has always been an illusion, but never an innocent one. Today, in the age of social media, glamour is no longer distant or inaccessible: it is reproduced endlessly, performed daily, consumed instantly. 

The new glamour is perhaps darker than before, more bizarre, but also more innocent. It embraces its own artificiality as a creative force: a magnetic, alchemical self-creation that converts beauty into contemporary myths, desire into new rituals, images into dreams or nightmares – or both.
